News for 2020–2021
The Tennessee Arts Commission has announced that Oak Ridge Civic Music Association will be awarded matching grant funds for FY2021 in the category of Partnership Support, non-matching grant funds for FY2021 from the National Endowment for the Arts Cares Act, and a non-matching Spring State Supplement for FY2021.
A competitive, operational grant, the TAC Partnership Support grant evaluates applicants on 11 criteria that include:
• Demonstration of artistic, cultural and/or educational value to the community being served.
• Demonstration of financial stability and a broad base of financial support.
• Evidence that programming supports the work of artists through payment of fees, services, or appropriate benefits.
The Tennessee Arts Commission is funded in part by revenue from TN Specialty License Plates. Your purchase of a Specialty License Plate supports arts organizations across the state, including ORCMA. Visit https://tnspecialtyplates.org/ or click on the link below to learn more.
The award from the National Endowment for the Arts is part of the CARES Act to keep the arts alive during the pandemic. It is funded under a Grant Contract from the State of Tennessee. The Spring State Supplement is an acknowledgement of the continued service to community through the arts provided by ORCMA during the year-long COVID-19 pandemic, and recognizes that the arts can improve -- not merely reflect -- broader economic conditions at the state and local levels, and are an agile and resilient sector with the capacity to ignite job growth, reduce economic risk through diversification, stimulate commerce, and attract tourism.
Thank you to the Tennessee Arts Commission.
